 Hello all,
Things are Mostly Good and chugging along; just busy with work but also fun projects. Getting back into knitting and D&D of all things.  If anyone has tips for beginner DMs, please share! But also just interested in hearing what everyone's up to. Hope y'all are well!

Suddenly have need for a book I *know* I own, can't find it, losing my marbles over it, trying to find it for cheap online, and then my brain finally remembers, oh yeah. LIBRARIES. *rolls eyes at self*.

I just want to get to the point where I don't have a goddamn to-do list that is as long as my arm.
But the only way to do that is to do the things on the goddamn to-do list that is as long as my arm.

I swear, I can stay off tumblr for weeks, no problem, but the one day I'm actively trying to stay off of it, I'm dying to check it. I just want to see if the blackout is actually happening, but if I go check then that messes it up. Silly brain.

Last two days, suddenly lots of people following my pillowfort that I don't actually use? Jumping ship from tumblr, I assume. Those of you actually using pillowfort, what do you think of it?

Just noticing that so far, my DW feed has consisted of fic, gardening, knitting, major personal revelations, minor random reflections, some pr0n, and it's wonderful and I love it.

Rewatching love actually and still love it . . . except for every single comment about Natalie's weight. wtf.

Have been having very cute interchange with a mom on redbubble who was trying to order something for her "Sherlock-obsessed" daughter; she sent me a semi-frantic bubblemail asking a million questions, but it was clear she just really really wanted to get something her daughter would love for Christmas.... and clear that she had no clue how redbubble works, as she was asking me (the artist) about what the item was made of, would it arrive before Christmas, and if she just put a note on the order could she get it in a different color, etc.

The last bit I could actually help her with and then I just pointed her in the right direction for the other things, but like, she was so sweet and earnest about it all, and now I'm like emotionally invested, I want to know if her daughter ends up loving it as much as she hoped, etc. :)

I figured out how to put images into a post and I'm super proud. Random test:

Jeff Goldblum, chased by T-Rex, saying "must go faster" from Jurassic Park

I posted this on tumblr:
We got a little time left before the 17th and I’ve got SIX YEARS worth of posts; anyone want me to reblog stuff, just for reminiscing or archiving purposes? If yes, I’d use some easily blockable tag and run them overnight on a queue to keep from flooding your dash. But I mean… so much art, so much fandom history… Lemme know what you think. <3

I've saved everything I want to save for myself now, thank goodness, so this would just be something I'd do for other folks if they see value in it. Thoughts?

FINALLY

Holy crap, finally got the python backup method to work!

If you have not backed up your tumblr and you want to, try this. It's not as hard as it sounds, but I highly highly recommend watching the video on youtube that walks you through it because, for me, that's way easier to understand and I can see what everything's supposed to look like; also, the written instructions at one point say to type in a certain thing and that didn't work for me, and the video said "hey, you can leave that word out" and when I left it out, it WORKED.

It has some limitations, but it's the best option I've found so far that leaves you with files you can actually open and view with your web browser.
